I just bought a car from the Eastbourne branch. I also saw a similar car at thier Eastbourne branch. I cant fault the interest they took in me and really helped to find the right car for me. I got a new Fiesta which is a dream and the deal off the listed price was fantastic. I cannot praise the sales people enough and am sorry for the guys at Hastings that I had to choose for Eastbourne.

I had the car for a week when the heater system was a bit noisy. The service people got my car in striaght away even though they were busy and sorted it out.

These Birchwood people really have changed my mind about buying a car from a dealership. Thanks

Great article on a phenomenal car. Iconic was a great word used in order to describe the Defender.

What is there to say about the Defender. Personally a huge fan and it seems as though i might not be the only one thinking that. It recently won a top vehicle award. Readers of What Car? magazine voted the Defender their favourite car.

Will be interesting to see the new version of the Defender once released in 2013.

KJM Nissan managed to sell me a car. I like the car. The dealership itself lost a lot of points with me for charging me £10 for my FREE week of insurance that they have you take out to register a new car. Despite the policy saying it is free insurance, and the salesperson saying it is free insurance, the £10 gets put on your bill for the car "because it is dealership policy". Nissan Customer Services are "unable to assist".

EVANS HALSHAW(PLYMOUTH) REPAIRED AN ENGINE FAULT IN MY VAUXHALL SIGNUM IN MAY 2009.THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED SATISFACTORILY AND WE PAID ON COLLECTION IN CASH THE AMOUNT WE WERE ASKED.
WHEN WE LATER ASKED FOR A PROPER INVOICE TO BE SENT.WE FOUND THAT THE AMOUNT SHOWN WAS LESS THAN WE HAD PAID SO WE ASKED FOR A REFUND.THAT WAS OVER THREE MONTHS AGO AND ALTHOUGH E.H.
AGREE WE SHOULD BE REFUNDED, NO CHEQUE HAS ARRIVED EVEN AFTER FIVE PHONE CALLS. WE NOW PROPOSE TO CALL THEM AGAIN AND SHOULD WE NOT RECEIVE THE COURTESY OF A REPLY THEN WE WILL FILE A CLAIM IN THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT. 4-10-09

Brought polo 2006 from Leicester Volkswagen, on 23/5/09 with 36000 mileage did not realise engine was faulty use judder sometimes at light because we had brought another polo and it does the same but less severe.
No service was done before collection this is a major engine default and we brought this car in good faith that it was in a reasonable running condition without major engine fault for a considerable sum of £6000 it is now off the road after I have travel only 3000 miles in it, and I am still waiting for Leicester Volkswagen (Lee Martin) to contact us to rectify this problem FOC or refund.

Took a Lotus Elise in for a service & MOT and whilst in their ownership they broke the alarm. In the end they wanted to charge over £500 to replace it + service - over £1000! We looked at legal action but with no proof it was not worth it. Spent ages on the phone to Lotus HQ about it and they tried to help but in the end, and over a week later, we picked our car up - and were considerably poorer in the process.

Two word: Never Again (going back to SGT in Taplow)

I am a 52 year old lady who for over thirty years have used nothing but "old bangers" due to having seven sons. When l was 50 l decided to treat myself to a brand new car, (on HP of course!) My boys (now men) told me that VW was one of the best! Two of them drive VW, Golf. l listerned to them, God help me!! The Alan Day at Old Kent Road was owned by Pursers and l picked up a Polo 1.4, being desperate, (l do two jobs so l need a car) l asked if l could have the showroom car, in my excitment l did not ask for a discount). l was charged for EVERYTHING including the ground the car stood on! Eventually, the price stopped at just over £11,000. At that time, my sister who had cancer was also being looked after by me and l needed the car to go to Mount Vernon Hospital sometimes up to three or four times a week, hence in the first year, l had done nearly 19 thousand miles!! From the go, within a week, the plastic that holds the sit belt popped off! The material at the window on the door, started coming out! The cup holder in front snapped with a can drink being put in it! l put it in for services and l was charged £43 by now Alan Day for WD10!! Later to find out that this was engine oil!!!. I lost my car keys and this was done by the same Alan Day in Old Kent Road, since then, my car dies randomly!! I have been told that bringing it in starts at £120 an hour! From the first day the key was done, the car has been randomly packing up! This car was bought in November 2007!!!!!! I intended to move up to buying a Golf in 2011, but now everyone is advising me to go for a Honda or a Nissan! But l like the new Polo, l do would love to be able to buy this, but after what l have gone through, should l? Who does one go to for help? My car is now a liability for which l cannot see a way out. Would Alan Day help? Please!!!!
