The automaker sall around the world seek the best time of the year to showcase their phenomenal creations to the automotive world. The 2017 New York International Auto Show was the perfect platform for automotive giants to display their finest concept cars, which gave us a good idea what we should expect from them in the coming years. Here are the best concept cars of the show.

Toyota FT-4X Concept

Designed by Toyota’s CALTY Design Research, the FT-4X boasts a funky design profile, which is termed as ‘Casual Core’ by the automaker. Riding on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) C-Platform, the FT-4X encompasses some interesting features such as multi-hatch rear door, a built-in GoPro HERO5 Session camera, foldable rear seats and more. Toyota has not revealed their plans for FT-4X’sproduction.

Genesis GV80 Concept

The Genesis GV80 concept is a luxury crossover featuring a hydrogen-fuel cell electric powertrain. Besides carrying an innovative engine, the GV80 concept boasts a high-tech interior with a 22-inch OLED curved display and other advanced facilities. Customers interested in buying the GV80 can register at the Genesis website.

Subaru Ascent Concept

The Subaru Ascent concept is a three-row SUV, which the automaker plans to introduce next year exclusively for the North American market. It carries a powerful 2.4L four-cylinder engine. Most of its design cues are adopted from the Visiv-7 concept, but have been further improved. The production model will be displayed at the next Los Angeles Auto show.

Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior Concept

The Nissan Rogue Trail Warrior is unlike any other SUV we have seen in the past. The huge utility vehicle features snow tracks instead of wheels for easy navigation and travelling on any sort of terrain. The Rogue Trail Warrior is powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft of torque. The whole suspension system of the SUV was modified to support the tracks, which are 48 inches long and 15 inches wide.

Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

The Mercedes-AMG GT is a fastback sedan developed by the AMG division of Mercedes.It shares a lot of its characteristics with the AMG GT Coupe. The concept was painted in hot red colour and was equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes and bronze calipers. Powering the AMG GT concept was a V8 unit developing 805 horsepower. Mercedes has not confirmed whether it will enter the production mode or not.
