The 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport made its public debut recently at the Geneva Motor Show and is now available in the United Kingdom.
The Insignia Grand Sport is a four-door executive sedan, which competes with the likes of Skoda Superb and Ford Mondeo. In terms of design, it resembles with the Monza Concept, which was first showcased at the Frankfurt Show in 2013. The front fascia features sharp Intellilux LED matrix headlights, vertical slated grille and fog lamps integrated in the bumper. The sharp character lines around the sides along with unique alloy wheels add a sporty look to the sedan.
The cabin boasts first-class interior design for a relaxing drive both within the city and on the highways. The premium leather seats have massage and ventilation options and could be adjusted electronically according to the driver’s specification.
The front dash is ergonomically designed and encompasses a plethora of advanced technologies including an IntelliLink Infotainment system with 8-inch touch display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, dual-zone electronic climate control, rear USB sockets, auto-dimming rear view mirror and a BOSE Surround System. Drivers can also charge their phone via the wireless charging facility near the gearbox. Moreover, with the phone voice-control technology, drivers can easily place phone calls or control their playlist through voice commands.
The wheelbase has been increased by 92 meters, which means the interior is more spacious compared to the outgoing model. The boot space measures 490 litres and can be increased to 1,450 litres by pushing down the rear seats.
